** The Gator softball team can only wait and see if it wins an SEC regular season championship today. Florida ended its regular season by splitting a doubleheader with South Carolina to end its regular season at 49-7 and 18-6 in the SEC. UF can win the SEC title if Missouri beats Tennessee in its final game.
** The Gator lacrosse team tries for its second straight American Lacrosse Conference championship when it takes on Northwestern in Baltimore. UF is 17-1 on the year.
** Kentucky Derby favorite Orb wins the muddy event Saturday at Churchill Downs. Orb won by almost three lengths.
** In the NBA playoffs, former Gator Joakim Noah has 24 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Chicago Bulls past the Brooklyn Nets and into the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Two series also start today with Indiana at New York and Memphis facing Oklahoma City.
** In MLB action, Colorado tops Tampa Bay 9-3 as the Rays fall to 13-16. Miami tops Philadelphia 2-0 and Atlanta and the New York Mets were postponed by rain.
