The Florida Gator baseball team, despite losing a lot of games down the stretch, has received an NCAA regional bid today.
Florida will go to the Indiana regional to face an Indiana team it hosted earlier this season. Florida will match up against Austin Peay; the other team in the tournament opening against the Hoosiers is Valparaiso.
In all, nine SEC teams made an NCAA regional, with Vanderbilt an overall number two national seed and LSU an overall number four national seed. South Carolina and Mississippi State are hosting regionals while Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Texas A&M are also in the field.
Miami is in the Louisville regional and Florida State is hosting a regional and will play Savannah State in its opening game. Troy and Alabama are also in the FSU regional and the winner of that regional will play the winner of the Indiana regional.
North Carolina is the overall number one national seed.
