** Game time for the Florida at Missouri game next week has been set; the Gators will play at 12:21pm.
** When Florida plays at LSU Saturday, the Gators will face a Tiger team roaring on offense and struggling on defense. The offense averages 45 points a game, third best in the SEC, but the defense gives up almost 25 points a game and the Tigers rank seventh statistically in the league in total defense.
** On Monday Night Football, the New York Jets beat the Atlanta Falcons 30-28 as Nick Folk kicks a 44 yard field goal as time expires. The Jets are 3-2 while the Falcons fall to 1-4.
** The upcoming Jacksonville at Denver NFL game has produced the largest point spread in NFL history; the Jags are 28 point underdogs as of Monday.
** The MLB playoffs continue today with two games, both in the ALDS. Tampa Bay hosts Boston with the Rays needing to win to stay alive and Detroit hosts Oakland with the Tigers needing to win to stay alive.
** The first team to be eliminated from the MLB playoffs are the Atlanta Braves; the Braves lost at Los Angeles last night as the Dodgers move on to the NLCS.
