Monday Sports Update

From college football, to the NFL, to NASCAR and more, here’s a look at what’s happening this Monday in sports…

** The Gator football team will play at South Carolina Saturday and it will be a night game with a 7pm start.

** The latest BCS standings are out and Alabama is number one with FSU now number two.   Ohio State moves to third followed by Stanford, Baylor and Oregon.

** The Gator women’s basketball team is 2-0 after beating North Florida 88-77 Sunday.

** In the NFL, the Jacksonville Jaguars get their first win of the year by beating Tennessee 29-27 on the road.

** The Tampa Bay Bucs go for their first win tonight on Monday Night Football as they face the Miami Dolphins.

** In NASCAR, Jimmie Johnson widens his Chase for the Cup lead over Matt Kenseth by finishing third Sunday at the race in Phoenix.   Kenseth finished 23rd and now Johnson has to finish 23rd or better in the final race of the year at Homestead to claim the title.
