A new stadium for the Atlanta Braves, a former Gator activated in the NFL and more in our Tuesday sports update…
** Hard to believe but Turner Field in Atlanta will no longer be the home for the Atlanta Braves. The Braves announced they would move to a 42,000 seat facility in suburban Cobb County in 2017. Turner Field is only 17 years old.
** Former Gator Percy Harvin has been activated by the Seattle Seahawks. Harvin has missed the entire NFL season to date with an injury.
** The Orlando Magic fall to the Boston Celtics for the second time in four days, losing 120-105 Monday night.
** Rookie of the Year awards announced for baseball include Tampa Bay’s Wil Myers winning it in the American League and Miami pitcher Jose Fernandez winning it in the National League.
** The St. Francis Wolves are in the Class 3A state semifinals in high school volleyball today. They face Miami Westminster Christian.
