The No. 5 Florida Gator volleyball team will take on the No. 7 Missouri Tigers tonight in the O-Dome. The Gators (23-2) will be looking to avenge their only conference loss of the season, which came in a four set (23-25, 23-25, 25-23, 18-25) defeat last month at the hand of the Tigers (29-0) in Columbia.
To say the match is a big one would be an understatement. On top of the revenge factor for the Gators, the match is the first between two top 10 SEC teams in 22 years. Florida played in that one too, falling to the LSU Tigers in a 1991 match during head coach Mary Wise’s first season at UF.
Missouri will be led in the contest by senior setter Molly Kreklow. Kreklow leads the SEC in assists with 1204, and in assists per set with 12.67. She also carried the Tigers to their victory over Florida earlier this season, recorded 45 assists in the match.
First serve tonight is set for 7pm, with coverage beginning at 6:50 on ESPN 850 WRUF.
