** In SEC men’s basketball last night, Florida’s next opponent, Kentucky, beats Auburn 64-56. Also in league play, Georgia tops Mississippi State 75-55 and Texas A&M beats LSU 83-73. Tonight, Missouri plays Arkansas and Vanderbilt plays South Carolina.
** In the NBA, Memphis beats Orlando 86-81 as former Gator Nick Calathes scores 12 points for the Grizzlies. LeBron James hits a buzzer beater to down Golden State.
** The Winter Olympics roll on in Sochi as Norway has the medals lead so far with 12 followed by Canada with 10 and the Soviet Union and the USA with nine.
** Lots of high school boys basketball regional quarterfinal action tonight involving some area teams. Oak Hall, Fort White, Santa Fe, Buchholz, GHS and Eastside look to advance with wins tonight.
