** The Final Four is set for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament after two more regionals were won last night. Maryland and Stanford advanced with the Terrapins set to play unbeaten Notre Dame and the Cardinal playing defending champion Connecticut in the Final Four.
** SMU and Minnesota will play for the NIT championship after the Gophers beat FSU last night.
** LSU junior Johnny O’Bryant, the team’s leading scorer, announced he will enter the NBA Draft.
** Spring football practice continues for the Gator football team today and the practice is open to the public.
** No Masters championship for Tiger Woods after he undergoes surgery; the timetable for his return to the PGA Tour is uncertain.
** The Washington Redskins have apparently reached a three year deal with former Eagle wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who was released by Philly a few days ago.
** In Major League Baseball, Atlanta gets its first win, beating Milwaukee 5-2. Miami is 2-0 after a 4-3 over Colorado and Tampa Bay is 1-1 after a 4-2 loss to Toronto.
