The Florida baseball team will head to Tallahassee tonight with a target on its back as the Gators look to complete a series sweep of the Seminoles.
Florida has beaten FSU in two low scoring games and the Gators come in off a road SEC series with Kentucky in which they lost two out of three games.
Sophomore Danny Young will get the call on the mound for the Gators tonight, while FSU has yet to name its starter. Young has made 17 appearances for the Gators this season, more than any pitcher on the staff. He has an unblemished 3-0 record alongside a 1.96 ERA.
Florida’s last trip to Tallahassee was a successful one, leaving Dick Howser Stadium with a 4-3 win.
Offensively, Florida will be lead by Taylor Gushue and Braden Mattson, who combined have 47 RBIs. Casey Turgeon has also been a key element to this attack, with six game winning RBI’s this season.
