The Florida baseball team will make its final regular season home appearance Tuesday night against USF. The Gators will enter the game with a record of 34-18 including an 8-6 record against in state opponents.
Neither team has released a starter for Tuesday night’s game. Last time these teams faced each other was in 2013 when Florida ended a USF 12 game-winning streak after a 12-1 victory. Florida is 12-1 against the Bulls head coach Lelo Prado, with the only defeat coming in 2012.
Florida’s Taylor Gushue is in position to finish the season with a triple crown within the team. Gushue heads into Tuesday night’s game leading the squad in RBIs, homers, and batting average. A handful of freshmen will also look to make an impact tonight. Buddy Reed, Peter Alonso, Ryan Larson, John Sternagel and A.J. Puk have all made starts this year for the Orange and Blue.
First pitch is set for 6, listen to ESPN 850 WRUF where Steve Russell and Jeff Cardozo will have the call.
