** The Gator baseball team loses 2-0 in the SEC Championship Game to LSU but the Gators will be one of 16 regional hosts as will FSU, Miami, Vanderbilt, LSU, Ole Miss and South Carolina. The entire 64 team field is announced today.
** LA Dodger pitcher Josh Beckett becomes the oldest pitcher (36) since Randy Johnson was 40 to pitch a no-hitter as the Dodgers blank Philadelphia.
** In other MLB action, Tampa Bay sends Boston to its 10th straight loss with an 8-5 win. The Rays start a series in Toronto today. Milwaukee tops Miami 7-1 and Atlanta blanks Colorado 7-0; the Marlins are at Washington today while the Braves host Boston.
** The French Open is underway with no major upsets so far.
** Jimmie Johnson wins the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR race in North Carolina to win his first NASCAR race of the season.
** Ryan Hunter-Reay wins the Indy 500 over Helio Castroneves in one of the closest finishes ever.
** In the NBA playoffs, Serge Ibaka returns to the Oklahoma City lineup after injury and the Thunder respond with a 106-97 win over San Antonio. The Spurs still lead the series 2-1; today, Miami hosts Indiana up 2-1 as well.
** In the NHL playoffs, Martin St.Louis scores a goal in overtime to lift the New York Rangers to a 3-2 win over Montreal to go up 3-1 in the series. Chicago is at LA today with the Kings up 2-1.
