Playoffs wind down, the woes for the Tampa Bay Rays continue and college baseball has its College World Series field set in our Tuesday Sports Update… ** The NBA Finals continue in Miami tonight as the Heat host the San Antonio Spurs; the series is tied 1-1. ** The on again, off again saga of LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling takes another turn as his attorney now says he is withdrawing his support of the sale of his team and that his lawsuit against the NBA is on again. ** Several media outlets are reporting that Derek Fisher has agreed to become the new coach of the New York Knicks after retiring this past season as a player. ** The Stanley Cup playoffs could soon be over.
The Los Angeles Kings blank the New York Rangers 3-0 to go up 3-0 in the series. Game 4 is in New York. ** The Tampa Bay Rays are really struggling; after losing to Seattle 3-0 Monday, the Rays have now lost 13 of 14; they start a series with St.Louis today. Atlanta beat Colorado 3-1 and the Marlins start a series with Texas today. ** College baseball’s College World Series field is now set with Ole Miss, Virginia and TCU getting berths with Super Regional wins yesterday. Vanderbilt is also representing the SEC in the field. **
