Dolphins Defense Comes Up Big in Win Over Jacksonville

The Miami Dolphins came out of Jacksonville with a 27-13 win over the Jaguars on Sunday as Miami’s defense finished with four sacks, and two interceptions, both going for touchdowns.   The defense also recovered a fumble and all this was done despite giving up the most yards in a game all season.

In his first start of the season, Jaguars running back Denard Robinson ran for 108 yards on 18 carries. In the passing side of things, Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw for 196 yards with a touchdown and an interception.  On the other side, Jaguars rookie QB Blake Bortles threw for 221 yards with a touchdown and two picks.

The Miami Dolphins improved to 4-3 on the season and will return home to take on the San Diego Chargers (5-3) next week. The Jacksonville Jaguars fell to 1-7 and will travel to Cincinnati next weekend to take on the Cincinnati Bengals (4-2-1).
