Tuesday Sports Update (12/23)

A loss for Florida women’s basketball, a big NFL win for Cincinnati, more hoops and football news too in our Tuesday Sports Update…

** The Florida women’s basketball team falls at home to Eastern Washington 67-56 on Monday afternoon.  Florida falls to 7-5 on the year and will face UNF Sunday.

** In men’s hoops, Temple blows out nationally ranked Kansas 77-52.   That was the biggest upset of Monday night.

** In the NFL, Cincinnati remains atop the AFC Central with a 37-28 upset win over the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.

** In college football, Memphis wins a fight marred and wild 55-48 win over BYU in the Miami Beach Bowl.   Two more bowl games today finds Northern Illinois facing Marshall and Navy taking on San Diego State.

** Reports say long time Georgia assistant coach Mike Bobo will be the new head coach at Colorado State, replacing Jim McElwain.
