New University of Florida football coach Jim McElwain made official today some new hires for the staff he is putting together at UF.
Only one member the current Gator staff is scheduled to be on the new staff at this point, that being offensive line coach Mike Summers.
McElwain has hired Greg Nord to coach tight ends and special teams; Tim Skipper to coach running backs; former Miami head coach Randy Shannon to coach linebackers and be the recruiting coordinator; current Oakland Raiders defensive line coach Terrell Williams to perform the same duties at UF and Kirk Callahan will leave UCF to coach the defensive backs for Florida.
In addition, McElwain will bring Mike Kent in the program as the director of strength and conditioning for the football program.
One position, that of wide receivers coach, is still to be added to the staff.
