Tuesday Sports Update (3/3)

Gator hoops and baseball in action, NBA, the SEC Commissioner speaks and more in our Tuesday Sports Update…

** The Gator men’s basketball team plays its final regular season home game tonight against Texas A&M.   Florida is currently 14-15 overall and 7-9 in league play while the Aggies are 20-8 and 11-5 in the SEC.

** In other SEC men’s hoops action tonight, Georgia hosts unbeaten Kentucky, OIe Miss at Alabama, and Auburn at Missouri.

** The 10-1 Gator baseball starts a home and home series tonight with UCF in Orlando.   The Golden Knights are ranked and also 10-1 on the year.

** There has been talk of making freshmen ineligible to help with their academics but SEC Commissioner Mike Slive said in a statement it might be best to wait until 2016 when new  initial eligibility rules go into effect to even discuss the issue.

** In the NBA, Miami downs Phoenix 115-98.
