Flash back to the 2014 gymnastics season.
Florida takes home its second straight NCAA championship, but Oklahoma ties Florida at the NCAA’s and also claims the national title. History was made; it was the first time there were co-national champions in gymnastics.
Now, in 2015, history will be made again tonight in Norman, Oklahoma where for the first time, national champions from the previous season will compete against each other again.
The crowd should be electric and we’ll see if Florida can handle a tough road environment. In earlier meets this year with big and vocal crowds at Alabama and LSU, the Gators came up short.
But gymnastics is about getting ready and healthy for the postseason and Florida coach Rhonda Faehn will once again use a different lineup for the meet tonight in search of the right combinations for the end of the year.
