Tuesday Sports Update (3/10)

NFL free agency, Gator baseball and lacrosse in action, more teams make March Madness and the first NBA team to 50 wins in our Tuesday Sports Update…

** The NFL officially begins its free agency period at 4 pm today and many players are expected to find new homes, some with new large contracts.

** The NFL will also conduct a “Veterans Camp” for players not on teams who might want a shot at playing again and there are reports that former Gator quarterback Tim Tebow may show up to try out again for the NFL.

** The 14-2 Gator baseball team hosts Fairfield tonight and tomorrow night.   The Stags have only played three games (0-3) because of bad weather up north.

** The Gator lacrosse team hosts Syracuse in a key match up tonight in Gainesville.

** The Gator men’s tennis team hosts Ohio State today.

** The Atlanta Hawks are the first NBA team to 50 wins after blowing out Sacramento 130-105 Monday.

** The SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament starts tomorrow in Nashville.   Florida plays Thursday against Alabama.
