** March Madness begins in earnest today at venues across the country.   Ole Miss plays Xavier, NC State faces LSU, Kentucky takes on Hampton and Arkansas faces Wofford.

** In action in the NCAA Tournament last night, Dayton nips Boise State 56-55 and Robert Morris downs North Florida 81-77.

** In the NIT, Vanderbilt downs St. Mary’s 75-64.

** The Gator football team will next have spring practice on Friday and head coach Jim McElwain says he is looking to see what his team can do in pads.

** Former Gator Percy Harvin has officially signed a contract with the Buffalo Bills.

** In the NBA, Dallas downs Orlando 107-102 while Miami beats Portland 108-104.
