Men’s Swimming Success At NCAA Championships

The men’s NCAA swim championships came to a close this past weekend. The Gator men finished fifth overall as a team. Since head coach Gregg Troy has been with the men’s team, they have placed in the top 10 at the NCAA Championships. There were a couple of school records broken and various other awards, including a national title. That national title was won by freshman Caleb Dressel in the 50 free, who is the first Gator to win an NCAA championship in this event. A total of 15 swimmers earned a combined 40 All-American honors and school records were broken by Dressel and Solaeche-Gomez. Dan Wallace

and Mitch D’Arrigo had notable swims as well. D’ Arrigo earned four All-American awards and Wallace earned five. Overall a fantastic final meet for the team and especially the seniors.
