Gator baseball loses in the SEC Tournament, the Lightning strike, NBA playoffs, baseball results and more in our Thursday Sports Update… ** The Gator baseball team
falls to Arkansas 7-6 at the SEC Baseball Tournament in Hoover, Alabama. The Gators play an elimination game today against Auburn at approximately 2 pm that you can hear live on ESPN 850 WRUF. ** In other SEC Tournament results, Texas A&M edges Alabama 4-3; Vanderbilt edges Missouri 7-6; and LSU nipped Auburn 9-8. ** NCAA Softball Super Regionals get underway today in some areas of the country. The SEC has eight teams in the final 16 teams in the tournament. ** In the NBA playoffs, Cleveland beats Atlanta 97-89 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Tonight, Houston is at Golden State in the Western Conference Final. ** In the NHL playoffs, Tampa Bay beats the New York Rangers 6-5 in overtime to go up 2-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals. Tonight, Anaheim is at Chicago in the Western Conference Final with the series tied 1-1. ** The Miami Marlins are still winless under new manager Dan Jennings as they lose 6-1 to Arizona, getting swept in the series thus far. The teams play again this afternoon. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay loses to Atlanta 2-1. The Braves host Milwaukee tonight while Tampa Bay hosts Oakland.
