Gator Soccer Takes On FSU At Home

August 31, 2015

The 14th ranked Florida Gators open up home action Sunday against defending NCAA champion Florida State. The Gators are coming off a 4-2 win over Miami where Savannah Jordan netted her second career hat trick.

Florida State has gotten off to a strong start this season; after being ranked number one in the preseason polls they have kept that spot winning their first three games. The most recent win was a 3-0 win at home over Southeastern Louisiana.

The last time these two teams met was last season where the Gators defeated the second ranked Seminoles 2-1. That was the only loss Florida State had all year; they posted a 24-1-1 record.

Florida will look to improve to 3-1 with a victory. The match is set to start at 1p.m. from James G Pressly stadium. Tune into ESPN Gainesville 95.3 to hear Adam Schick’s live call of the match.
