McElwain Era Starts With Big Win
The University of Florida football team wins its season opener and the first game under new coach Jim McElwain in a big way, blowing out New Mexico State 61-13 Saturday in Gainesville.
Florida used both its quarterbacks, Treon Harris, who started, and Will Grier and the two combined to throw for 379 yards with four touchdowns.
In all, Florida had over 600 yards of offense in the game.
Florida next hosts East Carolina next Saturday.
