Grier Named Starter Against ECU

Florida coach Jim McElwain has named redshirt freshman Will Grier the starting quarterback for Saturday night’s game against East Carolina. This will be Grier’s first start for the

Gators and it happens to be against his father, Chad Grier’s, alma mater. Sophomore Treon Harris will also play in the game as the quarterback rotation will continue for Florida. Both quarterbacks played well in the season opener against New Mexico State combining for 379 yards passing and four touchdown passes in a 61 to 13 win. Kickoff against the Pirates is scheduled for 7:00 on Saturday night.
