Gator Tennis Teams In Action This Weekend

The Florida Gator men’s and women’s tennis teams are both in action this weekend. The women head to Nevada for the Las Vegas 50K, while the men will send their underclassmen to Fort Myers for the Bedford

Cup and their upperclassmen to Napa Valley, California for the Napa Valley tournament. For the women this is the second tournament of the season; last week they opened up their schedule with the Duke Invite. Senior Brianna Morgan and Juniors Belinda Woolcock and Kourtney Keegan all came away with singles titles. Sophomore Anna Danilina also placed taking third in her draw. Florida coach Roland Thornqvist previews the upcoming tournament. “Well it’s a different field obviously. Brooke’s going to have her hands full and Josie’s going to play one on her own I think. We’re not playing college players in these events, so it’s going to be interesting to see how we do.” For the men’s team the tournaments they will play in will be their first of the season. The canada pharmacy online men’s squad is relatively young with only two seniors on the team and more than half of the team being underclassmen. Head coach Bryan Shelton talks about how the team is rebuilding. “We’re just in a building phase right now and a developmental phase so were working on all aspects of the game. I’m just canadian drug pharmacy really excited where the program is right now and the group of guys we have.” The Bedford Cup starts this Thursday and the Napa Valley tournament gets underway on Friday. Both tournaments run through Sunday.
