Florida now holds a record of 11-4 overall and 3-3 in SEC play. The Volunteers on the other hand are currently 17-4 and 3-3 in conference play as well.  However, Tennessee comes off an impressive home win over Arkansas, a team Florida lost to earlier this year; it was Tennessee’s first win over a top 25 team since 2012.

Florida head coach Mary Wise says she is looking forward to playing Tennessee.

“We have a chance to play a team that is on a real high right now. Starting with their wins, they had a great preconference season.”

Going into the matchup against Tennessee, Wise says the Vols will have one of their best players back in Kendra Turner, who led Tennessee in the Arkansas match with 15 kills.

“One of their key players is now healthy. They were without her for some time so, we’re obviously getting Tennessee playing their best volleyball of the year,” Wise said.

In SEC play so far, both Florida and Tennessee have faced Auburn, Arkansas, and Missouri. The Gators and the Vols each have lost to Missouri. However, Tennessee has beaten Arkansas and lost to Auburn while Florida has won against Auburn and fallen to Arkansas.

First serve in Knoxville is set for 6:00 PM. Live coverage of the game will begin here at 5:50 PM.
