(MORE TO COME)

The Florida football team runs its record to 9-1 on the season and also keeps its hopes alive in the College Football Playoff as the Gators beat South Carolina 24-14 in Columbia, South Carolina.

The Gators totally dominated the game through three quarters, leading 17-0 while holding the Gamecocks to less than 50 yards of total offense.   But the Gamecocks made it a game, scoring two fourth quarter touchdowns to cut the lead to 17-14 with about five minutes left in the game.

However, on Florida’s next possession, running back Kelvin Taylor broke off a long run and capped the drive with a short touchdown run to seal the win for Florida.  Taylor ran for over 100 yards in the game and quarterback Treon Harris ended up 19 of 33 for 253 yards with a touchdown pass and two interceptions.

Florida will host Florida Atlantic next week.
