Orlando Magic beat the Celtics 100-91

The Orlando Magic how now won three straight games after beating the Boston Celtics 100-91 Sunday night.  Both teams now stand 9-8 on the season. This is the first time Orlando has had a winning record since 2013, when the Magic were 3-2.

Off the bench, Victor Oladipo led the Magic with 19 points to go along with eight rebounds and six assists.  Orlando forward Tobias Harris had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Harris says Orlando’s defense is picking it up, allowing the Magic to continue this winning streak.  Nic Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, and reserve Andrew Nicholson also scored in double digits for the Magic.

With an improved defense, Orlando held Boston to 18 percent shooting from beyond the arc and to 40.9 percent shooting overall from the field. Isaiah Thomas led Boston with 20 points and seven assists. Avery Bradley scored 17 points and Jae Croweder had 12 as well for Boston.

With 4:43 to play, the Celtics were up 12 points but Orlando rallied to get the win.

On Tuesday, The Magic start a five game road trip, playing Minnesota on Tuesday, followed by games at the Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, and Phoenix Suns.  Nic Vucevic says they were determined to win at home before hitting the road.
