Unlucky number 13, the amount of wins the Orlando Magic sit on as they head into home test tonight against the Charlotte Hornets. Home for Holiday’s for the Magic as tonights game vs the Hornets will be the first of a home stand in which they will play seven of eight games in Orlando. The Magic have won seven of their last ten games coming into tonight, and they will look to keep the ball rolling against a Charlotte team who is coming off a 98-93 loss to the Boston Celtics. The Hornets sit at 14-9 just 1.5 games up on the Magic.
Nikola Vucevic for Orlando has lead the way as of late, averaging 15.6 points per game including an 18 point six rebound game against Brooklyn. Elfrid Payton also racked 17 points and five assists two nights ago against the Nets. The Magic ran away with that game by a final of 105-82 on the road on Monday.
As for Charlotte expect Kemba Walker to be a deciding factor in tonight’s game. With 18 points per game and 4.7 assists per game, Walker leads his Hornets in both categories. Kemba has put up 49 points in his last two games making him a handful for any guard in the league. The matchup between Payton and Walker will be one to keep an eye out for tonight.
This is the first meeting between these two Eastern Conference this season. First tip is set for 7:00 p.m. in O’Town.
