Gainesville High School Basketball Preview

Their is a lot of action going on at high school courts in Gainesville tonight. The Gainesville high school Hurricanes, who have a 17 and 3 record will take on P.K. Yonge on the road at 7:30 p.m. in a big non-conference game. This will be the second time they meet this season, Gainesville took the first game. Head coach for the Hurricanes Kelly Beckham says it will be a very touch game tonight due to P.K. Yonge not losing at home at all this season.

P.K. Yonge only has one less win then Gainesville this season with an overall record of 16 and three. Head coach of P.K. Yonge Billy Blackmon says they must play outstanding defense in order to gain a win.

Along with Gainesville and P.K. Yonge, North Marion and Santa Fe will play as well as Williston and Trenton.

Gainesville High School is very busy tonight as their women’s team will also play. The Lady Canes with a 16 and six record will take on city rival Buchholz, who are struggling with only eight wins. They will play at Buchholz and six pm. Head coach for the Lady Canes David Gordon says this game tonight is known to be a good one.

Along with the Lady Canes, St. Francis will play Hamilton County and Santa Fe will play Columbia.
