Heat Win Four Straight

February 1, 2016

The Miami Heat extended their winning streak to a season best four straight games last night. The Heat defeated the Atlanta Hawks 107-85 at home, ending January on a high note. Miami Heat Guard Dwayne Wade says they came out and took care of business, and have ended this month playing their best basketball so far this season. Wade scored 17 points and added eight assists in last nights win. His 17 points tied him at 42nd with Bernard King on NBA’s career scoring chart.

Heat Forward Chris Bosh put up 18 points and seven rebounds. He says he was very pleased that the team did not get frustrated and executed plays when the Hawks started to cut the lead.

The Hawks began to cut the lead in the second half but it wasn’t enough to pull out a win. Hawks Forward Paul Millsap says he thinks they are struggling because the team is putting a lot of pressure on themselves, but he hopes it will pay off in the end.

Another positive in the game was that the Heat out rebounded the Hawks 47-31, with forward Amar’e Stoudemire having a game high 12 rebounds.

The Miami Heat will try to extend their winning streak tomorrow night when they take on the Rockets. Tip off in Huston is set for 8:00 p.m.
