SEC PREVIEW: Ole Miss vs. Missouri

With a combined record of 4-12 in SEC play it has been a rocky ride so for the Ole Miss and Missouri men’s basketball teams. Tonight at 9:00 p.m. these opponents will meet for their first of two matchups in 2016. Missouri has not won a game since January 10th when they knocked off Auburn. As for Ole miss they have dropped five of the last six. As much as these teams have struggled someone has got to come out on top tonight, Ole Miss head coach Andy Kennedy says Ole Miss has had to change their game plan due to the lingering injury to star guard Stefan Moody.

With the loss of big man Sebastian Saiz, Ole Miss has had to find a way to get the game in the paint going. Saiz for the Rebels had been averaging just under 10 rebounds per game. Filling those shoes will be difficult but look for freshman Marcanvis Hymon to get more minutes than usual. Andy Kennedy says his team has been struggling to fill Saiz missing space.\

As for the Missouri Tigers Kevin Puryear will lead the charge against Ole Miss at home tonight. Puryear is averaging 11 points 4.3 rebounds a game. Alongside him will be Junior Guard Wes Clark who has an average of 10.1 points a night.

Tip off tonight is set for 9:00 p.m. Expect home court advantage to play a part in the game as Missouri is hunting down that sought after win against a vulnerable opponent.
