The number one ranked Florida Gator (14-1) baseball team is set to host the Harvard Crimson (2-2) for a weekend series starting Friday night. Florida comes into the series riding an eight game winning streak after sweeping UNF earlier this week.

The Orange and Blue will send junior right-hander Logan Shore to the mound (3-0, 0.43) to go up against sophomore right-hander Ian Miller (0-1, 6.00). The Gators will send AJ Puk to the mound on Saturday with Alex Faedo getting the start Sunday to wrap up the series.
The Gator bats have been hot lately posting at least four runs in their last eight outings. Junior Buddy Reed currently leads the Gators with a 10 game hitting streak bringing his average to .322. Sophomore Dalton Guthrie has come on hot recently as well going 7-12 over the past three games giving him a team best .393 average. Despite the production Florida head coach Kevin O’Sullivan thinks his team isn’t doing enough at the plate.
The only time these two teams have previously faced-off was in 2006 where the Gators swept a weekend series at McKethan Stadium. First pitch Friday from McKethan stadium is set for 7 p.m. but you can tune into ESPN Gainesville 95.3 at 6:50 p.m. to catch live coverage with Jeff Carodozza and Steve Russell.
