PREVIEW: No. 2 Kentucky face No. 10 Alabama in SEC Quarterfinals
SEC Tournament action continues tonight as the Kentucky Wildcats take on the Alabama Crimson Tide at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Kentucky had a first round bye while Alabama advanced with a first game win in the tournament. The Wildcats rank higher in every statistic except for steals and turnovers and are favored to advance to the next round but Alabama coach Avery Johnson says his team has won a lot of games they weren’t expected to win.
Alabama will look to Belgian guard Retin Obasohan to lead the team in scoring as he did with a team high 17 points against Ole Miss in their SEC Tournament game win. Senior Arthur Edwards and sophomore Justin Colman will also be ones to watch on offense.
Kentucky has taken social media to express their excitement about tonight’s upcoming game feeling confident that they’ll win it for their fans and to improve their seed, says head coach John Calipari.
