Vernon Hargreaves Likely to Be a Top-10 Pick in NFL Draft

Florida’s Cornerback, Vernon Hargreaves III stood out as representatives from all 32 NFL teams attended Pro Day on Tuesday. In the Gator’s indoor practice facility, Hargreaves didn’t hesitate to show scouts that he is ready for the NFL. At 5-foot-10 1/2 and 207 pounds, Hargreaves was outstanding in his workout and position drills. Vernon’s Father, who is the linebacker coach at Arkansas, was also watching at Pro Day. Vernon says it was nice having his pointers.

Hargreaves is projected to be a top-10 pick for the 2016 NFL draft, and he believes that without a doubt he is the most talented defensive back in this year’s draft. Though he is only a Junior, Hargreaves says he has improved every year of playing for Florida. Vernon has already accepted his invitation to attend the NFL Draft.

On April 5, Hargreaves will visit EverBank Field to meet with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have the fifth overall pick. He will also be meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who have the ninth overall pick in early April. Hargreaves said it would be great to possibly play in his hometown for the Bucs with his mom down the street. From there, he will travel to Chicago on April 28 to walk the stage of the NFL draft.
