
Former Gator Harrison Bader Making Impact In Double A
Harrison Bader is a known name to many Florida Gator baseball fans. The right fielder from Bronxville, New York was a standout in in his three-year career at Florida, especially his junior season where he was second on the team in home-runs (17) and RBI (66). Bader was apart of the promising 2015 Kevin O’Sullivan squad that went to the College World Series looking for a title before losing to Virginia in the semifinals. Fans in Springfield, Missouri. might start taking notice of Bader too now.
The 22-year-old was drafted by the St Louis Cardinals in the third round of the 2015 MLB draft and is now making his impact at the Double A level. Bader is batting .300 for the Springfield Cardinals while also hitting 13 home runs and driving in 32 RBI. His performance the first half of the season was enough to get him his first bid to the Texas League All Star game. Bader was voted in as a starter and made the most of it going 4-5 with a double and a run scored.

Harrison has helped Springfield clinch the first half championship in the northern division of the Texas League guaranteeing the Cardinals a 2016 playoff berth.
