He’s Back – Tom Brady Throws for 400 in Return

There’s no better way to go back into the fray than against the Cleveland Browns, especially when your name is Tom Brady.

The “Golden Boy” shined – leading the Patriots to three consecutive touchdown drives to open the game.

Tom Brady found his groove right away connecting with some familiar faces. He found Julian Edelman on a pass to the flat for a 10-yard completion on his first pass attempt. On the next pass attempt, Brady threw it to Rob Gronkowski for 19 yards.

But the one receiver that Brady really loved to target on this day was tight end Martellus Bennett.

After the game, Martellus Bennett received a lot of praise from the Patriots star QB.

Out of the six times Bennett caught the football, he scored three times. Pretty favorable odds.

Brady finished the game with 3 TD’s and 406 yards through the air. He completed a pass to seven different receivers, two of which totaled more than 100 yards each. Gronkowski totaled 109 yards, while Chris Hogan exploded onto the scene with 114 yards.

Hopefully you picked him up for your fantasy football team, as Brady finished with 29 points in ESPN Fantasy and was only second to Marcus Mariota’s 30 point game against the Dolphins.

Brady remained humble though, saying there was still some rust in his play.

The Patriots are home in Foxborough next weekend against the Bengals and the “Brady” chants will be in full effect.
