As week 5 in the NFL comes to a close, a lot certainly happened on Sunday in the football world.
Vikings Continue Reign
To start, the Minnesota Vikings are now the only undefeated team in the NFC. The Vikings beat the Houston Texans by a score of 31-13 yesterday. Sam Bradford led the 5-0 Vikings offense to their fifth game without a turnover this season. Adam Thielen had a great day as well, finishing with a career-high 127 yards receiving for the game. The Vikings will have a bye this weekend before taking on Philadelphia next. But will this bye help or hurt the momentum that they have built staying undefeated so far this season?

Lions Stop Eagles
Elsewhere, the Detroit Lions beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-23. The Lions were able to take an early 21-7 lead in the first half, scoring on all three of their drives. Matthew Stafford made one of the best defenses in the NFL look bad at the start of the game by throwing for a touchdown on all three of the Lions’ first possessions. However, what hurt the Eagles the most and kept them from staying undefeated was the 14 penalties for 111 yards that they received. This allowed the Lions to take down the undefeated Eagles after they’d lost three straight games.

Falcons Continue to Fly High
And lastly, another big game that took place yesterday was between the Atlanta Falcons and the Denver Broncos. The Falcons were able to hand the Broncos their first loss of the season. The Falcons jumped out to an early 10-0 start in the first quarter and held off the Broncos by scoring in all four quarters. Both teams moved to 4-1 on the season after the Falcons won by a score of 23-16. Former Gator Keanu Neal was on the field for this Falcons team, and he was certainly happy with the result:
We got something special in the ATL..! Great team win! #Brotherhood #RiseUp
