Ronni Williams Leads No.19 Gator Women’s Hoops to Win over Wofford

The 19th ranked Florida women’s basketball team went used the College of Central Florida gym in Ocala as its home court to host the Wofford Terriers Wednesday night. The Gators defeated Wofford 74 to 51 and now have a 5-1 record.

Ronni Williams led the Gators with 26 points and 11 rebounds, which was a career high for the senior. The game opening 10-2 run was also started by Williams, as well as the first six points in the game.

Williams high scoring game is no surprise to those who see her in practice. Florida coach Amanda Butler says she’s not only just a good rebounder but has a great work ethic.

“We are very blessed to have a player like Ronni who is one of our best, and obviously tonight our absolute best and in practice is often our hardest worker,” Butler said.
