Florida Men’s Tennis closed out its season today losing in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA tournament. No. 15 Florida fell to No.2 Virginia 4-0.
With this win over the Gators Virginia improves its record to 6-4 all-time and 2-0 in the tournament. This is the 15th time UF concludes its season in the round of 16 of the NCAA tournament.

The Seniors:
This tournament was the last for two Gators Elliott Orkin and Maxx Lipman. Orkin concludes his career at UF with 101-49 overall record in singles play and an 85-53 overall record in doubles play. Orrin finished out his senior season with a bang, earning career and season-high doubles and dual match doubles win. His186 total wins making Orkin the 6 most wins by a Gator all-time. While his 101 career singles win is the 8th most by a Gator all-time.
Max Lipman also ended his career well earning career high 27 overall doubles wins this season. Lipman concluded his career with 72-46 overall singles record and an 83-48 overall doubles record.
Not Over Yet:
Meanwhile, sophomore Alfredo Perez and freshman Johannes Ingildsen still have the NCAA Individual Championship next week. The two will return to Athens for an individual championship. Perez earned the No. 8 seed in the singles tournament, while the pair of earned the No. 2 seed in the doubles competition.
