The number five Florida gymnastics team will travel to Auburn this weekend to take on the 17th ranked Tigers on Friday. This will be the 36th consecutive meeting between the programs.
Gators
The Gators are coming off a win against the Oklahoma Sooners last weekend. Oklahoma led through the opening two rotations and the meet was tied during the third rotation. The Gators managed to end with a win after freshman Alyssa Baumann ended her floor exercise with a 9.925.
Alex McMurty notched two perfect scores on vault and beam making her the first gymnast to score two perfect scores in a single meet; her 10.0 also meant McMurtry completed her “Gym Slam” making her the second Gator to earn perfect scores on all four routines. McMurtry was also named SEC Gymnast of the Week.
Last Friday, she became the first 🐊 to score two 🔟 in a meet.
Today, @alexmcmurtry is named @SEC Gymnast of the Week!
