Cheyenne Lindsey Talks Gator Softball, Future Plans

On Thursday’s edition of Sportscene, Steve Russell spoke with Gator softball player Cheyenne Lindsey about the team’s ability, her history with softball and what she’s passionate about off the field.

Early Start in Sports

Lindsey committed to UF when she was just 15. One look at her stats will tell you she’s a powerhouse ball player. And is it any wonder? In her conversation with Russell, Lindsey shared she started playing softball at three years old – and she hasn’t stopped since.

Lindsey also touched on her involvement in other sports – basketball, volleyball and track & field. She kept active in other sports while she was in school – but she always held fast to softball.

The “Chey” in Team

Asked about the team’s chemistry, Lindsey had all good things to say: the players all have love for one another.

She also stated the Gators have a lot to work with when it comes to different skills.

There’s no doubt Lindsey is confident about the Gators’ ability – and it sounds like the fans are confident in hers. Lindsey shared that she definitely notices when fans are cheering her on, and she’s taken note of the nickname they’ve given her.
