Trinity Thomas’ Significant Impact

Thomas was a significant contributor to the Gators winning the SEC Gymnastics Championship. Her near-perfect floor performance led to the Gators’ victory. Thomas did an outstanding job as she provided great performances that resulted in her achieving her first SEC all-around championship title. She specifically excelled on vault, floor and uneven bars. She scored a 9.975 on vault, 9.975 on the floor and 9.95 on uneven bars. Her overall score for her performances was 39.825.

Thomas has made Gator history by being the first Gator to receive the honor of being SEC gymnast of the year for the second time. She has also made history with her record of perfect 10s and 99 career event titles, of which broke records as it is considered to be the most in the UF gymnastics program. She also achieved a gym slam, which happens when gymnasts obtain perfect 10s on each gymnastics apparatus. Twelve women in the NCAA have only achieved this.

Thomas represented the Gators outside of the swamp as part of the Team USA program. She was a four-time member of the US national team. She excelled in various events however a team USA highlight for Thomas was part of the team that won gold in the 2018 Pan American Gymnastics Championships.

Trinity Thomas is already going down in Gator history, and it would not be surprising if she continues to do so.
