Lightning faceoff against the Ducks

The Tampa Bay Lightning (44-21-8) are set to host the Anaheim Ducks (29-33-13) at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Amalie Arena. The Bolts are one win away from securing a spot in the Stanley Cup playoffs after becoming Stanley Cup champions in back-to-back seasons.

Lightning Stats

Tampa is coming off of a 1-0 away loss to the Dallas Stars Tuesday night. So far in their April matchups, the Bolts have lost five of their last seven games. In their last faceoff against the Ducks on Jan. 21, Anaheim defeated the Bolts 5-1. The Ducks scored four-straight goals to open that game before Ross Colton got the Lightning on the board in the third period.

In the last five games, Nikita Kucherov has led the Lightning with three goals. For assists and points, captain Steven Stamkos leads the team over the last five games with four assists and four points. Tampa sits third in the Atlantic Division, just one point ahead of the Boston Bruins who currently hold a wild card spot.

Look at the Ducks

Anaheim is coming off of a 3-2 overtime loss Tuesday to the Florida Panthers. The Ducks are sixth in the Pacific Division and 22nd overall in the league.

Trevor Zegras leads the Ducks with three goals and five points over the last five games while Jamie Drysdale posted three assists. The Ducks are ranked 13th in power-play percentage at 21.8%, while the Bolts are 15th at 21.1%. However, Tampa holds the upper hand in both penalty-kill percentage and faceoff percentage.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Amalie Arena, and the game can be streamed on ESPN+.
