Oak Hall Eagles look to Maintain Undefeated Home Record

The Oak Hall Eagles boys lacrosse team gained a huge win against the St. Augustine Tocoi Creek Toros on Monday. Oak Hall, known to have high scoring games, held up to their standard with a final score of 15-2. The Eagles have dominated their opponents throughout the Spring season, holding a strong 0.94 win percentage and only losing one game.

Eagle Offense

The Eagles have a powerful offense led by senior attack Luke Staab and sophomore attack Pierce Montes. Staab had three goals and five assists on Monday, while Montes achieved an impressive seven goals and three assists. With nine shots on goal, Montes had a 77.79% completion rate, compared to an average percentage of approximately 30%.

The Tocoi Toros couldn’t keep up with the Eagles’ attack, letting in over 62% of shots. Low effort in slides and being outran by their opponents caused the visitors’ defense to struggle. However, on Tuesday, the Toros redeemed themselves by finishing their season with a 12-1 win against the Mandarin Mustangs.

Up Next for Eagles

The Eagles return to their home field Wednesday at 7 p.m. to face the 8-5 Pedro Menendez High School Falcons. The Falcons defeated the Toros earlier this season 16-4, making this an interesting matchup. For the final game of the regular season, the Eagles will work their hardest to defend their 8-0 home game winning streak.
