Florida Gators volleyball finished off the Gators Invitational on a high note, as they swept Winthrop to take their seventh consecutive win so far this season.
The team is ranked third and is expected to have a very successful rest of the season.
Set 1
Florida easily took the first set, 25-12. The Gators held onto the lead for the entirety of the set. Kennedy Martin posted three kills in set one and Trinity Adams had a standout service run of 6-0.

Set 2
Set two was led offensively by AC Fitzpatrick and Kennedy Martin, as Florida hit a .467. The Gators were able to keep the Winthrop Eagles at a safe distance score wise for most the set. At 24-17, the Eagles were able to take a two point run until the Gators took the set with a score of 25-19.

Set 3
Set three was more neck-and-neck than the previous sets. The score started off close, but after a service run from Alexis Stucky the Gators secured the advantage with a score of 9-5. The Gators took the set with a score of 25-15.

Wrapping up Gators Invitational
At the conclusion of the series, Alexis Stucky was named MVP of the Invitational. Additionally, Kennedy Martin and Elli Mckissock were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Gators will hit the road this week as they travel to Tallahassee to face the Florida State Seminoles on Tuesday.
