Week five of the NFL season has come and gone, meaning the fifth week of fantasy football has too. Another week means more players booming and others busting. Some guys even bounced back from a rough week four.

Booms
DJ Moore and Justin Fields – The Bears offense has struggled through most of 2023 but that wasn’t the case Thursday night. When facing the Commanders, Justin Fields lit it up through the air and his favorite target was DJ Moore. Moore compiled eight receptions on ten targets for 230 yards and three touchdowns. That’s 49 fantasy points. Fields put together a 282-yard passing performance with four touchdowns. He also scampered for 57 yards on 11 carries. That gave him 32.98 points.
Next Matchup: Minnesota Vikings (1-4)
Ja’Marr Chase – Chase has been having a good year, no doubt, although it has been a bit up and down. Against the Cardinals, though, there were no problems. Chase was targeted a whopping 19 times, catching 15 passes for 192 yards and 3 touchdowns. In PPR leagues, that is 52.2 points, the most by any receiver this week.
Next Matchup: Seattle Seahawks (3-1)
Travis Etienne Jr. – Etienne and the Jaguars faced a top-tier opponent for their second week in London, but the Buffalo Bills were no problem for Etienne. Following a strong second-half surge, the star running back rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. He also hauled in four passes for 48 yards. That all puts together a 36.4-point performance.
Next Matchup: Indianapolis Colts (3-2)
Busts
Hunter Henry – Prior to this week, Henry was the TE6 in PPR leagues. Unfortunately, that ranking will take a nosedive after his 0-point performance against the New Orleans Saints.
Next Matchup: Las Vegas Raiders (2-3)
Miles Sanders – The starting running back for the Carolina Panthers did not put on an inspiring performance against the Detroit Lions. He only received seven carries and ran for 32 yards. Additionally, he caught no passes. That gives him only 1.2 points.
Next Matchup: Miami Dolphins (4-1)
Dak Prescott – The star quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys continued his rough season on the field and in fantasy football. In a Sunday Night Football battle with San Francisco, he threw three interceptions and was benched in the fourth quarter. In the game, he totaled 153 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. Ultimately, that is 4.32 points.
Next Matchup: Los Angeles Chargers (2-2)
Rebound of the Week
George Kittle – Last week, Kittle only had one catch for 9 yards. That gave him 1.9 points in PPR leagues. This week? Three receptions, three touchdowns. Every pass he caught this week went for a score, alongside 67 more yards. This earned him 27.7 points and rebound of the week.
Next Matchup: Cleveland Browns (2-3)
