The No. 5 Florida Gators play their final home game of the season starting at 6 p.m. today against the Ole Miss Rebels.
The Gators will honor star guards Walter Clayton Jr., Will Richard and Alijah Martin in a pregame Senior Night ceremony at the O’Connell Center.
Florida (26-4, 13-4 SEC) is coming off a win against the No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide on the road Wednesday. With a career-high 27 points from forward Alex Condon, the Gators were able to sneak away with a win. The Gators already locked up the No. 2 seed in next week’s SEC Tournament, but are seeking a No. 1 seed for the NCAA Tournament later this month.
After losing a close game to the Georgia Bulldogs in late February, the Gators, winners of eight of the previous nine games, have been performing at a high level on both ends of the court. They’ve beaten two top-25 ranked teams. Clayton Jr. has been consistent for Florida averaging, 17 points per game with 3.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists. The Gators have only lost one game at home this season (14-1) and are averaging 84.3 points per game.

As for the Ole Miss Rebels (21-9,20-7), they’re coming off a hug win against the No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers. Fresh off of an upset against the Volunteers and even beating Alabama earlier in the season, the Rebels have shown they have what it takes to compete. The Rebels have a key player in guard Sean Pedulla, who’s averaging 14.9 points per game alongside 3.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists. The Rebels are sitting at an even record of 5-5 when it comes to away games. Mississippi, in a three-way tie with Missouri and Texas A&M for fifth place in the league, has a first-round SEC bye and is a possible 6- or 7-seed in the NCAA Tournament.
