Student Ticket Prices at All-Time High for 2026 Football Season

April 13, 2026

It may be April, but fall is in the air in Gainesville with student tickets for the 2026 football season going on sale.

There is a unique kind of buzz that surrounds a program in its first season under a new head coach, an excitement and hope of better things to come. The Orange and Blue game is completed, the roster is starting to come together and students are excited to be back in the Swamp to cheer on the team.

But that pleasure will leave quite a hole in the pockets of the student body.

For the fifth season in a row, ticket prices are increasing for student season tickets, with this being the largest increase by a wide margin. The slow, steady increase of these prices had moved student season tickets from $120 in 2021 to $250 in 2025, and now $350 in 2026.

Despite these increases in ticket prices, the on-field product has only worsened. The Florida program is currently in one of the worst stretches of its history, posting a losing record in four out of five seasons for the first time since 1945-49.

As the Gators look to return the program to its former glory, the first step is by building a dominant home-field advantage in the Swamp, including plans to renovate the stadium in the upcoming years.

But, the strain these prices put on the student section harms the raucous energy of one of the most feared atmospheres in the country, risking replacing the jam-packed bleachers of the student section with pockets of empty seats once filled with students that could afford to get in the stadium.

The students that do shell up the money to buy season tickets will see the Gators in action six times this season, with the home opener against Florida Atlantic set for Sep. 5.
