Florida Gymnastics Set for NCAA Championship Semifinal

April 15, 2026

The Florida Gators Gymnastics are set to take the national stage as they compete in the NCAA Championships Semifinal Thursday at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Ranked No.3 in the nation, Florida entered the semifinals in the afternoon session alongside No. 2 LSU, No. 6 Georgia and No. 7 Stanford. The top two teams from the session will advance to Saturday’s “Four on the Floor” team final, where a national champion will be crowned.

The Gators arrive at the NCAA Championship with momentum after capturing the NCAA Tempe Regional title earlier this month. Florida posted a meet-winning score of 198.05, marking its fifth consecutive score above 198, a program record and one of the top scoring streaks in the nation this season.

Consistency has been a defining trait for Florida throughout the year. The Gators have recorded multiple scores above 198, including two of the highest team totals in the country this season. That level of performance will be crucial in a semifinal field where all four teams have surpassed the 198 mark in 2026.

The Gators lineup is highlighted by several standout performers. Selena Harris-Miranda and Skye Blakely have been among the nation’s top all around gymnasts, consistently delivering high scores across multiple events. Kayla DiCello also brings experience and reliability, helping anchor a Gators squad with championship pedigree.

The Gators will begin competition on the balance beam, a critical event that can set the tone for the remainder of the meet. With pressure mourning in the single-elimination format, clean routines and execution will be key as Florida looks to avoid costly mistakes.

Florida is no stranger to success on this stage. The program is making its 42nd NCAA Championship appearance and has advanced to the national final in 17 of its last 20 trips, including three national titles from 2013 to 2015. That experience could prove valuable in a high pressure semifinal environment.

The Southeastern Conference is once again well represented, with five teams in the championship field. The Gators familiarity with elite SEC competition could give them an edge as they battle for a spot in the finals.

With a place in the national championship on line, Florida will look to rely on its depth, consistency and experience to secure a top-two finish. A strong performance Thursday would send the Gators to the “Four on the Floor” and one step closer to another national title.

Competition is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
